A Palestinian man was killed on Wednesday after Israeli forces shot him while raiding his home in Nablus.
33-year-old Muhammad Saeed Khammash succumbed to his injuries after being shot in the thigh by Israeli forces, while a 20-year-old old man was injured after being run over by an Israeli army vehicle, Palestinian news agency Wafa reported.
Three civilians, including Khammash’s brother, were detained by the army.
Israeli forces also continued to target buildings in the West Bank, including a barn for farm animals and a residential room near Jerusalem on Wednesday, as well as bulldozing agricultural land.
They also took measurements of houses in preparation for demolishing them.
Israel’s West Bank raids continue
Israel has continued with its offensive on the occupied West Bank for over two months.
Israeli forces continued with their attacks on Tulkarm and its camp for the 66th day and the Nur Shams camp for the 53rd day, as well as increasing personnel in the area, raiding homes and detaining civilians.
The army also launched a large-scale raid arresting civilians in the Dhara area while also deploying forces in the two camps, bringing in army trucks and bulldozers and setting up military checkpoints in and around the city in a bid to restrict movement and carry out stops and searches.
Homes continue to be vandalised and burned down or seized and turned into military barracks with vehicles near the property, as well as critical infrastructure being destroyed.
The Israeli army launched its offensive on the West Bank, dubbed “Operation Iron Wall”, shortly after a ceasefire in Gaza was reached in January, which has since broken down after Israel resumed its war.
Israeli forces have killed 949 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank since October 2023, while thousands remain imprisoned and displaced.
