The London School of Jewish Studies (LSJS) has exceeded its fundraising target, raising more than £400,000 in just 36 hours through its “Invest in Education” campaign.

Launched on Sunday 8 June, the matched-giving appeal drew support from 1,222 donors across more than 70 fundraising teams, with the final total surpassing expectations.

“We are thrilled that the community has recognised the power of education and supported us in reaching our goal,” said Paul Gould, LSJS Chief Operating Officer.

The funds will help sustain LSJS’s wide-ranging educational initiatives, including teacher training across the Jewish community, undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, Hebrew language Ulpan courses, and a global programme of adult education events.

Joanne Greenaway, Chief Executive, said: “At LSJS, we’re proud to create a space where Jewish learning is thoughtful, challenging, and deeply relevant – open to complexity and designed to bring people together across the community.”

Founded 170 years ago, LSJS continues to blend tradition with innovation, offering education rooted in Jewish values and designed to meet the needs of today’s learners.
