NEW YORK — Following Iran’s apparent launch of ballistic missiles toward Israel, the World Jewish Congress released the below statement:
“The World Jewish Congress condemns in the strongest terms Iran’s decision to launch ballistic missiles at Israel. This reckless act, which follows a deadly shooting in Tel Aviv-Yafo, is not merely an assault on Israel, but an attack on global peace and stability. Over the past year, Iran’s proxies—Hamas, Hezbollah and other terrorist factions—have unleashed chaos across the region, leaving behind devastation and civilian suffering.
“The international community can no longer turn a blind eye to the grave threat Iran and these extremists pose. We call on all nations to recognize Iran’s true intentions and take decisive action to stop this aggression. Israel is fighting not just for its survival, but for the security of the entire free world. Now is the time to stand firmly with Israel, providing full support as it defends itself against these mounting threats.
“The Jewish people pray for the safety of Israel’s citizens and for peace to prevail.”
