A protester at an anti-Israel demonstration in Swiss Cottage allegedly called for the destruction of Zionists in incendiary comments captured on video.
Digital investigator from @GnasherJew shared footage from the protest, held on November 15 against the Israeli ambassador, in which an individual using a megaphone is heard saying: “These people are terminally deranged, and the sickness is Zionism. It’s incurable, so they just need to be put down, perhaps.”
The weekly protest is organised by the International Jewish Anti-Zionist Network. Voice analysis by @GnasherJew has linked the remarks to a member of a group called Women of Colour, though this claim remains unverified.
No arrests have been made, prompting criticism of the Metropolitan Police for failing to act at the scene.
In a statement to Jewish News, a Metropolitan Police spokesperson described the language in the video as “unacceptable,” adding that officers are investigating to identify the individual responsible. The spokesperson also acknowledged concerns over the lack of immediate police action, promising a review of the incident.
The police are urging anyone with information to contact them via 101, quoting reference 6393/15Nov24.
Local Labour MP Tulip Siddiq has been contacted for comment.
