Israel has continued its bombardment and offensive operations in Gaza, with Gaza’s civil defence agency saying that Israeli overnight strikes on the enclave killed 19 people and wounded dozens more.
Ahmed Mansour, a journalist who suffered severe burns in Monday’s Israeli attack on a media tent near Nasser Hospital in southern Gaza’s Khan Younis, has died of his wounds, taking the toll from that assault to at least three.
On Monday, a joint statement from the heads of the UN’s aid agencies read: “We are witnessing acts of war in Gaza that show an utter disregard for human life.”
Israel’s renewed blockade on Gaza, which has now entered its second month, has forced 21 malnutrition treatment centres to close, according to the UN Children’s Fund.
In the occupied West Bank, Israeli forces have continued raids, with at least 38 people being arrested across the area, according to Al Jazeera, citing the Palestinian Prisoners’ Media Office.
This includes 18 people in the area of Tubas, nine in Bethlehem, six in Nablus, three in Ramallah, and two in Hebron.
