A child was killed and several civilians injured in an Israeli strike on the Gaza Strip, despite a ceasefire currently being in place.
Israeli forces targeted a vehicle west of the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, killing the child and injuring five others.
At the same time, two more Palestinians were injured after a bulldozer was struck in Khan Younis, south of Gaza.
Israeli forces also opened fire towards Palestinian homes in the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza and in eastern Rafah.
Israel has continued to catty out acts of violence against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip despite the ceasefire that came into effect on 19 January.
Israel’s war on Gaza has killed at least 47,498 Palestinians since October 2023, and wounded 111,588 others.
The Gaza Health Ministry revealed 11 new fatalities over the past 24 hours, including nine bodies recovered from debris and two succumbing to their injuries.
Amid the ceasefire, over 500 Palestinian detainees have been released from Israeli prisons, while Hamas has released 18 Israeli captives. At the same time, hundreds of thousands of Palestinians have been returning to their homes in the north.
Details on the second phase of the ceasefire remain unclear, with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reportedly delaying sending a negotiation team to Qatar until he meets US President Donald Trump.
Israel has also increased its attacks to the occupied West Bank, targeting Jenin, Tulkarm, and now Tammun.
