Former Japanese adult star Rae Lil Black has apparently embraced Islam, while sharing short video clips of herself participating in Ramadan in Malaysia on social media.Â
Rae, whose real name is Kae Asakura, shared footage of herself breaking the fast at mosques in Kuala Lumpur while wearing traditional Muslim clothing.Â
She recently began sharing her apparent exploration of Islam in a series of TikTok videos, while announcing that she would take part in the Islamic holy month of Ramadan on 2 March.
A week before Ramadan, Rae hosted a meet-and-greet with her fans at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, where she was given gifts like prayer mats and travel prayer kits. She also posted photos and videos of her visits to mosques in various locations, both before and during Ramadan.
In one of her posts, Rae reflected on welcoming the holy month, saying:
“I hope we’ll all have a beautiful whole month of being close to Allah, and also being close to your loved ones, family, brothers and sisters.”
“I’m very excited. I hope God and you guys will give me strength to go through this month. Ramadan Mubarak,” she added, according to World of Buzz.Â
The former adult entertainment actress had her first iftar and prayers in Kuala Lumpur on 9 March. She also shared short clips of her strolling around the city while wearing the hijab on 1o March and posed outside the famous mosque of Masjid Sri Sendayan.Â
She has also removed all of the adult content from her social media pages and has said that newly released adult material involving her was filmed years before her recent embrace of Islam.Â
