Several Palestinians were arrested as Israeli forces continued their raids in the occupied West Bank on Sunday, as a 60-year-old man was shot and injured by Israeli forces in Nablus.
The forces detained civilians, including two children, across the occupied territory, launching raids in Hebron, Ramallah, Bethlehem, and Qalqilya. The Israeli army ransacked many homes during these raids.
Israeli forces are continuing their offensive in Jenin and its refugee camp, killing at least 25 Palestinians and injuring dozens since it began on 21 January – two days after the Gaza ceasefire deal went into effect.
Around 40,000 Palestinians have been displaced as a result of the attacks, which have been compared to Israel’s brutal assault on Gaza.
Israeli drones heavily patrol the area, buildings have been destroyed, civilian homes have been transformed into military outposts, and soldiers have been deployed in the refugee camp.
The army is also continuing its assault in Tulkarem after expanding its offensive to the area and its refugee camp a few days after the assault on Jenin camp begin. The Nour Shams camp has been witnessing intensified assault for the eighth day now, as Israeli forces fired flares over Tulkarem overnight.
Eyewitnesses told Wafa residents have been used as human shields during the raids.
Israeli forces have raided and occupied homes, destroyed property and displaced over 15,000 civilians.
In Bethlehem, for the sixth day, the forces continue to block the entrance to the Al-Manshiyya village, while a civilian was injured after Israeli settlers attacked his vehicle east of the area.
The army also raided Tammun and the Far’a refugee camp in the province of Tubas.
Israeli forces and settlers have killed 920 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank since October 2023.
